Second Hand Glamour Shoot

I was approached by Hayes Photography last year to model in a photoshoot titled Second Hand Glamour. I had worked with Bernadette of Hayes Photography before, so I took up the offer straight away.

The idea was to get some good photographs and publicize how we can get good glamourous clothes from the charity shops in the locality. I thought it was a great idea as I love thrifting myself!

We had a beautiful location shoot in Doneraile’s Townhouse Interiors.

Have a look at some of the final results!

The hair was styled by a hairdressing student in Mallow College of Further Education. I didn’t like her way of styling hair, it was a little old-fashioned for my liking. I left her side swept updo up for a few snaps for her portfolio but then I took it down and messed it up a bit. I’m not a big fan of the ‘polished’ look!

Now, let me get started on the make-up! I would like to introduce you all to Karen Rodgers of Dollface Vanity. Karen uses airbrush make up which I love! I love the way Karen does all her make up, she loves to blend to achieve a flawless look.
Karen recently bought a van and glammed it into her mobile beauty van, the first in Ireland. A very clever business idea!
Have a close up look at the images of Karens make up..

I wish Karen all the best in her new business venture! No doubt I’ll be a regular if I ever get back to Ireland!! :)

The shoot made a few pages in the Corkman paper but I’ve no pictures of it :(

Thanks for Bernadette and James Hayes for making the whole shoot a success.

I really enjoyed this photoshoot especially with the people who were there and the location was beautiful! I’d love to do something similar again someday showcasing all my vintage finds or perhaps promoting local charity shops to boost business!

Lots of Love
