Curl Secret by Conair | Review
Do you struggle to curl your hair? Burn yourself with curling wands? Haven’t figured out how to curl with a hair straightener? Keep on reading as this may be the product you need in your hair styling routine.
The Conair Infiniti Pro Curl Secret is a hair curler that will do all the work for you, so you don’t have to. It is a very handy little machine if you want to achieve perfect curls easily.
How Curl Secret Works
The Curl Secret has a rotation mechanism which will swirl your hair into the curling chamber. The curling chamber will keep your hair wrapped inside around a ceramic heated plate until your curl is ready. When your curl is ready, Curl Secret will tell you by beeping four times in a row. You are now left with a perfect curl!
How To Use Curl Secret
I have created a nifty little video with some tips and tricks which I will leave below. Basically, you turn on the Curl Secret and leave it heat up for a minute. You decide which strand of hair you want to curl. You clamp the Curl Secret where you want the curl to begin. Watch your hair disappear into the curling chamber. Wait until the beeps tell you your curl is ready. Release the curler gently and start again with another section of hair. Really simple!
My biggest tip is to twist your hair slightly before clamping down the Curl Secret. This will create nice clean sections to help the hair go into the chamber smoothly.

More Information
You can not get burned by the curler like a curling wand or hair straightener. The heated rod is surrounded and protected by the thick plastic. The plastic gets a little heated, so it is best to hold the curler by the handle.
There are two settings, one setting for heat, and the other for how curly you want your curls to be (or how long your hair remains in the curling chamber).
There is a safety feature built into the Curl Secret which does not allow to take too much hair or knotted hair.
Heats up to 400ºF/205ºC.
My Review

Let me tell you a little bit about my hair. I have very thick and coarse hair. There is heaps growing from my head. My first thought was that this curler was not going to be quicker than what I usually do. Conair claim that the Curl Secret will curl your hair from 15 to 17 minutes. For me, it took 34 minutes as I timed myself in the video below. This is because there is so much of my hair, it does take a bit longer. If you have lighter hair, obviously it will be a much quicker process for you.
It gave me perfect curls. Every time. I was very impressed with the curl consistency. Every curl is alternating. Alternating curls will give you great volume. I have read other reviews online wishing there was another feature which allow you to choose the direction of the curl. Yes, I wish this was also available on the Curl Secret, but it’s not. Most people want the curl at the very front of the face to be curling away- towards the back of the head. My top tip to make sure this happens is to start from the back of the head on the last top section of the hair and move towards the front. That way you can manipulate the Curl Secret into curling your desired direction. It might take a little bit longer, but if you want that front curl a specific direction then that is what you need to do.

Event though there is a built-in safety feature which does not allow for your hair to get stuck in the machine, mine did. Even though I brushed it through with a fine-toothed comb, and my sections were not too big, the odd time or two, it did get stuck. I think this happened because I have thicker hair, but I’m not 100% sure why this happened when it did. When my hair got stuck, my hair didn’t break off or get damaged so there is no need to panic if this does ever happen to you.
Would I use this product every day? No, I wouldn’t use it every day, because the curls last a few days! The curls set really well and fall out looser and looser into a wave by day three. I love it!
This product definitely takes getting used to. I would recommend sitting down for an hour just to get to know the settings and your preferred curl style. The curler needs to be used a certain way, it needs to be facing the head a certain direction, as directed on the actual product. The chord is very long and has a swivel at the base for ease of use. These are very handy features.
I would recommend trying out this product for anyone who wants to obtain a perfect curl. It really does work, and I honestly feel it is a revolutionary product. It is a very smart idea! I will use this product when I have the time to do my full head into perfect curls. Otherwise I will be opting for a quicker method for my super-thick hair!
