Schwarzkopf have developed an “Instant Blush” product that will quickly and effectively tone or temporarily colour your hair. It is available in four different shades; Steel Blue, Ice, Strawberry and Jade.

Review of Schwarzkopf BLONDME Instant Blush Ice

From time to time, I like to shake things up a little bit and I’ll pop a temporary hair colour into my blond ends. My usual go-to for hair colour is Arctic Fox. I was curious to try out the Schwarzkopf BLONDME Instant Blush and see how they compare.

I love the name “Instant Blush”. The descriptive word of blush for a hair colour is perfect and 100% relevant for this product. I was delighted to discover that you can spray this into wet or dry hair. When I applied mine, I sprayed it into clean, dry hair. I would imagine of you sprayed it into wet hair you would get a more subtle, toning effect. Spraying directly onto dry hair would show the products true pigmentation with no dilution. Simply dry the product into the hair and it’s done!

I have never coloured my hair faster. This product is so quick, easy and effective. It is seriously the easiest hair transformation I’ve ever done! I love the packaging, it comes in a spray bottle. Be careful of surrounding white walls! I love the packaging because you don’t need to mess around with bowls and brushes, you literally spray it directly into your hair. I think it would be best to get someone else to do it for you, however if you are doing it yourself, the stray spray particles wipe away easily.

After the product was dried into my hair, my hair felt very dry and stiff. I would recommend adding a leave in hair conditioner if you are concerned about the dryness. I really liked the Ice colour but I feel it doesn’t go very well with the warm tones in my natural hair colour. I would love to get the strawberry colour! Please wear gloves, this product will stain! The product does not come with gloves so definitely pick up a pair to wear during application.

How Long Does The Schwarzkopf BLONDME Instant Blush Last?

It washed out! It completely washed out in one wash which makes it a true temporary hair colour. With Arctic Fox, it lasts a few washes and what I don’t like about it is that some strands wash out completely, and other strands stay coloured for longer. I prefer to have it all washed out in one go like the Schwarzkopf BLONDME Instant Blush.

This product is excellent if you want to experiment with your hair colour. I highly recommend it, it is seriously so quick and easy! The results look great, vibrant pastels. I couldn’t help but thing of older ladies who like their blue rinse. This would be ideal for them!
