Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation

Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation is aimed to give you a medium coverage finish, evens out skin tone and blur out imperfections. It comes in eight different shades and is advertised for normal, combination and oily skin.

Sephora Canada recently added the Givenchy Teint Couture Balm to their online store and I had the opportunity to try it out. I am usually an advocate for full coverage foundation to complete a makeup look but was looking forward to trying something more light-weight.

Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation Review

My first impression when swatching this foundation is that it was very pigmented, creamy and light-weight. It is recommended to apply this foundation using your fingers. I found applying this foundation using my fingers was great, my favourite application for this foundation is by using my Artis Oval 7 brush. I’m not usually a fan of applying foundation with my fingers as I usually forget to wash my hands afterwards (no fault of the foundation), then I get foundation fingerprints everywhere!

My Review of Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation

I have fallen in love with this foundation. I never thought I would say that about a medium finish foundation. I have combination skin, my t-zone gets oily and the perimeter of my face is dry. This product has mastered the delicate balancing act working with both dry and oily skin.

This product would also be amazing for people with dry skin. If you don’t use powder, and set it with a setting spray, the foundation gives you a beautiful glow, and stays glowing throughout the day. If you have an oily t-zone, or oily in general, I highly recommend using a setting powder to set the foundation in place. It will last much longer.

Givenchy Teint Couture Foundation Swatches

On Sephora website it claims that you can build up this foundation up to two layers without the foundation becoming heavy. This is how I love to wear it. I will apply my first layer and it will camouflage all my imperfections. The second layer builds up beautifully in targeted areas – I go for the cheeks and anywhere that I might have blemishes or any other imperfections. I like to powder the foundation in my t-zone and it lasts amazingly all day long.

The wear on the foundation is phenomenal. I may get slight smile lines, however after blotting and powdering once throughout the day everything looks perfect and freshly applied again. Apart from the slight fixable wear on the foundation, it looks amazing throughout the day.

I have seen reviews online about the foundation oxidizing. I found no evidence of this when I wore the product. In my video below you will see me at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day and I feel the colour stayed true to tone. I wear the shade 2 Nude Shell.

This foundation is an online exclusive on Sephora. It retails for $58CAD and you get 1oz of product. The foundation does not contain parabens.

If you’re on the hunt for a light-weight perfecting blurring balm formula foundation, I highly recommend checking out the Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Blurring Foundation! I love it!
