BPerfect Cosmetics x Stacey Marie Carnival Palette | Swatches & First Impressions

Bperfect x Stacey Marie Carnival Palette

BPerfect Cosmetics and makeup artist Stacey Marie have collaborated to create the Carnival Palette. When I first saw the palette, it really screamed Stacey Marie’s makeup style. The mixture of vivid bright eyeshadow shades and neutral everyday shades are what make this palette spectacular. The massive selection of eyeshadows, and not to mention the two highlighter shades makes this palette an absolute must-have.

I have never written about BPerfect Cosmetics on my blog before, let me give you a brief background..

BPerfect Cosmetics

BPerfect Cosmetics is a beauty brand based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Brendan McDowell founded the brand in 2013 and later appeared on Dragons Den Ireland in 2017 which lead to successful offers on the table. Brendan created to brand to produce excellent quality cosmetics that are easy to use. There are many other products in the brand like mascara, brow products, palettes and the infamous 10 Second Tan. The Carnival Palette is the first product I have purchased from the brand, and it won’t be the last.

The brand ships internationally and has many in-store stockists. BPerfect will be releasing more exciting products very soon, definitely check them out!

Saint and Sinner are the two highlighter shades in the palette. If you’ve seen Saint in person, and you know me, then this shade is everything I want in a highlight. I’m not sure why, but I’m extremely drawn to pink toned highlighters and I notoriously use an INGLOT eyeshadow (132) to achieve the pink hue, but now I have Saint! It was difficult to capture the brilliant pink essence of this shade on camera, but I assure you it is gorgeous! Sinner is equally as stunning and will cater for everyone, a highlight that will have you glowing till all hours

Are you as mesmerized as I am by this palette? Many of the shades above are quite unique and that is why I didn’t think twice to purchase the palette.

My First Impressions of The Carnival Palette

Its safe to say I’m in love with the Carnival Palette. Upon swatching on the arm, a few shades like Minty and Naked were a little bit more difficult to build up the colour. Bear in mind, that when the eyeshadows apply to a tacky primer on the lid they will behave differently. I know people like to see colour swatches on the arm, but I personally are not in favour of them as they can be a false representation of what the eyeshadow is really like.

When I swatched the purple tones in the palette I was blown away. I know that purples can be difficult to produce but BPerfect made them perfect. I was blown away by the high pigment shimmer shades. They are extremely buttery and creamy and perform beautifully on the lid.

I have used the palette on myself and a few clients so far and I have been absolutely loving it. The shades I haven’t been able to stop using on myself for an every day look are Naked, Basic, Rowdy and Hush. I have packed on the shadows onto a tacky base on clients and the pigmentation is true. Surprisingly, there is very little fall out when the shadows are used. This is great, it gives you the option of doing your face makeup first if you wish.

If you haven’t picked up the palette yet, and still thinking about it, I would say go for it. Some of the shades might be a little bit daunting at first but you will get used to it. I always recommend doing a neutral upper lid and a pop of colour on the lower lash line, if you are a little hesitant with colour. Once you get used to it, coloured eyeshadows will be your new best friend!

I plan on creating YouTube tutorials using the palette, some colourful and some everyday makeup looks using the palette so make sure you are subscribed to my channel.

Have you picked up the palette? What do you think of it? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
